Hospital Services

Hospital services in Nottinghamshire are mainly provided by two NHS Trusts.

Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust
The Trust runs King’s Mill Hospital in Sutton-in-Ashfield and Newark Hospital.

King’s Mill has 583 beds and an A&E service. Newark is a district general hospital with 91 beds and a local A&E service.

A new £320m hospital complex is currently being built on the King’s Mill site.

Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust
The Trust runs two campuses in Nottingham: the Queen’s Medical Centre and the City Hospital.

A&E services are based at the Queen’s Medical Centre.

NUH is also a major teaching trust and has close links with the University of Nottingham.
