Shared Care Protocols
Last Updated on Monday, 09 July 2012 13:05
Shared Care Protocols must have been agreed by the relevant hospital Drug and Therapeutics Committees (D&TCs) and approved by the Nottinghamshire Area Prescribing Committee.

The SCP outlines prescribing and monitoring responsibilities for the specialist and the GP.
Prior agreement must be obtained by the specialist from the GP before responsibility for prescribing can be transferred.
Shared Care Protocols (SCPs) are used to allow prescribing to be taken on by a patient's GP once the patient is stable.
