Open day to unveil Westdale Lane Surgery plans

Plans for expansion at Westdale Lane Surgery in Gedling are being unveiled to patients for the first time on Wednesday 7 September 2011.

Local patients are invited to come along and view the plans for the proposed extension to the surgery; the address is 20-22 Westdale Lane, Gedling, Notts, NG4 3JA.  They can drop-in from 2-6pm and are encouraged to have their say on the plans.

The surgery is keen to expand.  The single-storey extension would result in additional GP consultation rooms, which means more places for new patients.

It is anticipated that the development will commence in spring 2012, taking around five months to complete.

Dr Richard Baynham from Westdale Lane Surgery said: "We're really keen to hear people's views about the plans we're proposing at Wednesday's drop-in event.  This is a great opportunity for local people to have their say.

"We are delighted that plans for our expansion are progressing and looking forward to providing services for our patients in a building thats fit for purpose."

Also, the surgery is looking to launch a Patient Participation Group (PPG).  The aim is to create a connection between the practice and its local community; ensuring it remains responsive to the 8,000 patients it serves.

Anyone attending the open afternoon can also get more information about the PPG.

Patients who are unable to attend but would like further information can call NHS Nottinghamshire Countys Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) on 0800 028 3693.
